Brilliant man. He was instrumental in the discovery of the magnetron. A device used as the transmitter for GHz RADAR. He once stated about 2001 A Space Odyssey that we would have colonized the Moon by 2001 if the Great Society fiasco hadn't siphoned the money for political gain.
