Aged Care in Oz is an absolute shambles...
Not long ago the grubberment announced that aged care workers would get a 15% pay rise...
They also announced that from 1/7/2023 it would be mandatory for all nursing homes to have a 24/7 nurse on duty...
Surprise surprise...almost immediately 28 nursing homes
announce they cant cope with the additional wages and will
probably close...
These facilities are staffed by asian rabble with the bulk of them unable to speak english...
In addition, nursing home residents have to cough up an
accommodation bond which necessitates the sale of their
home to get into the nursing home...
This bond is then invested by the nursing home whilst
the resident loses the bulk of their pension in costs to live
there...
The return on the investment is also used to pay for living
costs...
There has been 12 government enquiries into the Aged
Nursing sector since 2000.
And NOW they are talking about a medicare type levy to
help pay the bills....
Is there anything in this godforsaken country that isnt a
CLUSTERFUCK.......

If you're not self funded, aged care in Oz is not something to look forward to.

Now Albo is smirking and sniggering like the little pig he is whilst he throws Philip Lowe under the bus.  As much as I dislike Lowe what he's been doing has been directed by Jim Chalmers (whom I detest) on the promise that he will retain governorship of the RBA in September and they've both now stabbed him in the back.

Albo totally rejects that his government is the major contributor to the growing economic crisis.  He denies that his tax hikes, annihilation of the middle class, high spending (on useless and futile green projects) and premature destruction of power plants etc has anything to do with rising inflation.

Why is it necessary for joe punter to pay a medicare type levy
of (rumoured) $600 or more per year to prop up private businesses such as nursing homes...
This is akin to me having to pay a levy to the grubberment each year just to shop at Woolworths...and then the levy
is passed onto Industrial Equity Limited who owns Woolworths...
The same could be said for a levy to prop up Coles (owned
by Wesfarmers....)
Why do we have to prop up private enterprise...
