This was pretty slick on the part of the perp. I think it said she was arrested for trespassing. She would not get out of the car and told the male police officer to drag her. The officer accomodated her. This will be thrown out of court..and Tampa may very well be sued over this.

I don't know the entire story...it wasn't published...but that was an interesting and effective technique to use by the perp.

I'm sure you've seen or heard of the houston restaurant shooting....guy walks in with gun, brandishing it, robbing patrons.  As he starts to leave, customer pulls  his weapon and shoots the guy...killing him.   Shooter takes the money and returns it to the robbery victims.

The Robber/gunman might just have easily shot every customer in there.  The customer, stopped the threat.   I don't care that the perp was leaving. dont.   care.

when you do something like that....  expect anything

Yeah, criminals get away with crime and we now punish those who dare obstruct the criminal. We are getting what we deserve.

Hey maybe our Demented in chief could shove a "mandate" out that all the law abiding citizens will be put in prison ("for their safety), and only criminals will be allowed to roam free?

The dead robber in Houston was a bigger idiot than we thought. His gun was a toy. The guy who shot him should still be ok. People get upset that he paused and shot him in the head, but he could have twitched. Even if he was already dead they might get him for mutilation of a corpse. The guy is guilty of poor taste and that's about it.

It can be the circumstances...
If a bad guy still controls a weapon and is still moving, it might be good to continue shooting... it only takes a mili-second for the bad guy to again fire. -shrug-
