To be honest with you Red, I have an addicted persona , I will fight with it until I hit the grave , I Its a daily battle as to what side of me wins the fight I would just be better off with a drug that did the least damage to me. and I don't think alcohol is it , I don't say this with any pride just the cold hard reality , I just need to escape from my reality on occasion, and that wont change when I leave the property

Weed is another story and why I want to know what Sprint means by the blanket statement "drugs"

If it was legal and could be purchased it would take away the criminal motivation , as it did when prohibition finished in the US ?

Well they still need money to buy it whether it's legal or illegal don't they?  As most people on meth are useless at anything other than rage and sitting at home and scratching their scabs I don't see why it would reduce robberies.

Alcohol is another story.  People can function and work and drink, same with weed.  Most meth users can't.  Decriminalisation of prositution and drugs - Page 2 553500953

I would be inclined to agree with you in respect of P

Legal marijuana is more expensive than on the street.  Medical marijuana is hideously expensive.  Once the government gets involved don't expect to pay less and they'll still ping you for growing your own.

But unless Sprint elucidates I have no idea what drugs he wants legalized.  All drugs?

The illegality of some drugs provides a profitable market for criminals.

If drugs were decriminalised the criminals would lose their business.
Normal people would not have to associate with crims to buy some pot.
Countries that have decriminalised drugs have fewer problems than areas where drugs are illegal.

Not in any way true. Look at cities that have legalized pot, and decriminalized harder drugs, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, New York. These are not places you want to live in or near. Drug sellers operate right outside legal pot shops and safe injection sites that give out free methadone. Drug users would rather use their city provided money to pay the illegal sellers.

Drug users cannot care for themselves. They can't wipe their own asses. Normal people are leaving. These cities will collapse.

The people you see living like that are hopeless souls , drugs are just what they turn too, to mitigate their misery,, It wasn't drugs that put them there

The idea of personal drug use being a crime has failed for over 60 years.
Decriminalise it all. Decrimalisation is not legalisation.

If an addict gets 'caught' it's because he is an addict not a criminal. He is jailed. That is expensive for us, damaging for him. Lawyers and judges win. Society and him lose. Druggos have pretty unhappy lives. Jailing anyone is detrimental to them.

Separate the crims and their victims. Help the addict with his addiction.
One country (maybe holland) decriminalised heroin in areas.
If you signed up and were approved they gave you a liquid drink of heroin every day for free.
Crimes dropped, many of the junkies got bored of the new life. It lacked the excitement of crime, theft, etc.
Many stopped their addiction and became 'normal' people.

Being an addict should not be a crime. It's a medical issue.

The countries that decriminalized drugs, some drugs, do not have a narco state on the southern border shoveling drugs here in such numbers that enough fentanyl to kill every person in the entire country is found in shipments every day.

Addicts should not be jailed. They should be warehoused. They can have a controlled environment where their intake is monitored.
