Re: 12 Car Cleaning Tips
I tried the toothpaste on the headlight lens trick and if you keep buffing it works to some degree . This past weekend someone suggested using Deep Woods Off because Deet does help clean the lens . I didn't see much of a difference after trying that ( other than the bugs stayed away )so I went to Rock Auto on line and ordered a new head light assembly for $18 .

I need a new light assembly because one of mine has turned cloudy from the inside but they're a hell of a lot more expensive than $18 lol.

I replaced both Tahoe headlamp assemblies on the lil Sicilians Tahoe and they went for $19 a piece last year ( they cost $20.70 now ) from Rock Auto .everything including the plug in harness except the bulb. It took 10 minutes to change them . The Chevy dealer would have charged me $250 a piece .Red Lily wrote:Daily Bread wrote:I tried the toothpaste on the headlight lens trick and if you keep buffing it works to some degree . I wish I could post a link to my old (2005) Capitol Hill Coffeehouse piece, The Winter Car.
Alas, it's gone now.
I'm on the verge of opening a Substack. Unlike most Substack writers, I'm not going to do un-PC commentary...at least not initially. My aim is to have a controlled environment to try and get reactions to a novel I'm writing.
But I need to get some of my old essays up in there, also. The Winter Car, is timeless...for everyone who's lived in snow/salt country.
