I viewed that a culpla days ago. Look good.
The thing for rings is , ya gotta soak them in milk or even water/wine for at least 24 hours. I knowed dat for 45 years.
At least if you want the onion to be tender.

Giving them a good soak probably mellows that raw onion thing they have going, Some times in the evening I get a craving for a cheese and onion sammy . when I wake in the morning I can still taste that raw onion , it oozes out of you pores lol
