I've made peach, apple pie and cherry. I"m going to try the cherry again because the first batch is just too strong. Needs to be sweeter and smoother so that it sneaks up on ya. that's the way i like it.

I want to try this one next.

IN all instances...stay with your concoction while it is on the stove and you're dissolving your sugar. DON"T leave it.

Honey chil', this part isn't making any sense.
Fill a clean mason jar with your moonshine.
Add your simple syrup.
Add ½ cup of brandy
Add 1 tsp butterscotch extract.
If you FILL the mason jar, how can you add more ingredients? ???

I don't plan on making any, but out of curiosity, what flavor of brandy do you use?

I don't understand why alcohol is added to the mix when using an air still for moonshine. Anyone?

I have a reflux still and I used to ferment a mix of sugar, yeast etc, no cooking required. Then it went into the still which turned it into alcohol. Moon Shine 553500953

99% alcohol which I then had to dilute lol Moon Shine 3946397937

I agree that it is not a very well written recipe.

Whoo eee. That be some downright powerful refreshment. lol.

As for why alcohol is added to the mix, my guess is that the recipe isn't so much for making moonshine, as it is for flavoring it. Moon Shine 553500953

I didn't read the whole recipe so that might account for my lack of comprehension Lol.   I got confused when I saw the air still though.  Stills make alcohol, that's what they're for.
