The Feds have a history of using those tactics to force compliance; in doing so, the usurp States Rights which equates to trampling individual rights.

I take it that you realize that the gov't doesn't mean that literally, and what they actually mean is to pull funding for the free lunch program.
I'm thinking it's an idle threat.  No way would they get away with it;  literally, nor politically.

It really amounts to the same thing though.  It would never fly here.  Parents would go absolutely CRAZY at just the threat of it and the government would get bounced.
