A regular site in the Atchafalaya Basin. Once they get to 15-16 feet long they weigh a lot. Need a block & tackle to get them in the boat if you are hunting them.

Usually no one wants to fool with something that size. They usually swallow the hook and break away .

I'd be keeping well away from something that size thank you very much! It looks slow moving but I'll bet it could get some speed up if it really wanted to.

They are slowly working their way North. We are finding them in local lakes and rivers. It won't be long before someone is killed.
