My son has celiacs , was diagnose at 4yr old, , gluten free food is rather expensive, $6 for a loaf of GF bread

That, it is. Expensive, I mean. We've got a chain here, Aldi's, that's a box-type store, and caters a good deal to the gluten-free. Plus she's found online groups who are lots of help, along w/the general crowd of folks she knows.
One household rule's for sure: "The gluten-free is Ben's. Hands off!" Has to be that way; it's the only way they can afford it. The cool thing is, the other 2 kids understand, and are more than happy to help.

My sister is a celiac (often spelled coeliac) and I used to make a lot of dessert type things which are gluten free. I think I've posted a few but hats off to you Vege for the gluten free crumpets!
