Great; just Great
Have you, too, found it hard to find some of your most common and reliable products in the stores? I can't tell you how long it took to FINALLY find my husband, of all things, underwear. (Okay, briefs. So slay me.) And the only way I could get them was online.
Today I had the shock of reaching for - again, of all things - deodorant, and it wasn't there! So I stopped at a Dollar General on my home, and they didn't have any, either. I've been using this same deodorant for 50 years. I'm not sure what I'd choose, if a change is necessary, and frankly, I'd rather not! Urrr.
*Have you ladies any suggestions? My preference is a solid. The one I can no longer find is Arrid. Secret, maybe?
Oh. Another thing that stores have been out of: The Works toilet bowl cleaner. Yes, the most shortages I've found seem to be in the housekeeping/cleaning dept.
Any problems with filling out your grocery list?

Fortunately, I've never been brand loyal. I don't have trouble substituting most items with something else if I think it will work. I'm beginning to see the wisdom of stocking up on a few months supply of toiletries.

Seein' a lot of this @2cent. I had a pleasant discovery just the other day. ANgry with Walmart and go to Dollar 25 Tree. Yes I know. Chinese owned but then...so is WAlmart.
Found expensive shampoos, facials, meds, toiletries, expensive toothpastes, some food items like Olive Garden dressing in single serve containers. Didn't look at deodorants but i will next time i pop into town. IF WORSE comes to worse....don't forget you can use baking soda or vinegar as a deodorant AND even that Gold bond body powder works under arms and not only serves as a deodorant but also anti chafing. This is gonna get worse.

I can usually find a comparable substitute for my favorites, if I can't find them, but with something as frivolous as hair mousse, I've been using Pantene for several years and, I can't find it now, I've substituted Garnier but, my shampoo and conditioner are, Pantene.......I'm kinda anal about my haircare products all being the same brand.
Now, if I'm unable to find my brand of hair color, heads may roll! I do NOT, go out with grey roots!!!

I'm in the habit of stocking up. I'm only brank loyal when no other products work as well. IOW, Mr. 2 has tried other briefs, as I've tried other soap brands, etc. I always end up going back to the one that worked. (or fit better.)Crusader wrote:Fortunately, I've never been brand loyal. I hear ya on the Dollar stores. I never used to shop there, until relatively recently. (the last year or so?) You can get Albacore tuna, and 13.8oz size of Campbell's Soup for $1.25. Lots of other canned goods that generally sell for well over a dollar.Calypso Jones wrote:Seein' a lot of this @2cent. I had a pleasant discovery just the other day. I'll check on those toiletries next time. My daughter has found toothpaste for .50.

Thanks for recommendation on Secret. Gads, after using the same product for so many years, it's not only hard to guess at what to choose, but dumbfounding that it isn't available.
I'm getting angry with the people who are purposely attempting to collapse this country. What's worse, my grandchildren don't know any better. Sometimes I wonder if my daughter does.

That's what pisses me off the most, young people, children especially, have no idea this isn't normal, they're going to grow up believing this is the way its supposed to be.
I hope to hell, our grandchildren won't be growing up with socialism, thinking it's alright/normal.
I truly hate (yes, hate) the people responsible for this......politicians, as well as the others.
I've never felt like this before, not even with Obama, this is frustrating because the people responsible don't care about people, they are only thinking of themselves and, there doesn't seem to be a damned thing we, regular citizens can do.......except vote and, that's not until November and, these despicable people will do as they did in 2020 and, we all know it.
