It's curios that you can get free tickets, if you spend $25 at Applebee's. FWiW, I'm tempted to go see it, as well. It's been 20 years or better since I've been in a movie theater. I kinda like to catch a matinee w/the Mr., but haven't come across anything that's worth seeing.

I saw it tonite with The Captain. was it excellent?? well............. it was fine and it made you feel somewhat good about our military or maybe what was our military.

then I found myself confused the entire time about ..who the hell is Penny?? and THEN It was sad... Here read this.

And what was really disturbing was Val Kilmer's character. he looks so old and not good...and he dies in the movie. I don't know how kilmer is doing now but that was heart wrenching to see him like that.

I saw it last week.  It was good.  The flight scenes were great, but the best thing was the absence of politics and wokeness.  The closest thing to being woke was the inclusion of a female Top Gun pilot. She didn't hog the story line and nobody made a big deal about her. It was a non issue like it should be. The story line was OK and probably about the best story they could come up with considering the original actors are all 35 years older.

Saw it last night. It was really good. Possibly even better than the original. Good script, plot and  graphics. FWIW Kilmer did have throat cancer. He is a Christian Scientist, does not use medicine/medical treatment. Prayer, combined with searching for a deeper understanding of one's self and our relationship with God. It is in "remission".

I hope he recovers some of his looks. I hear his son did the dubbing of Kilmer's voice in the movie.....did i say that already??
