Raccoon gets stuck head-first in California home's roof
A California animal shelter helped a local homeowner with an unusual problem: a raccoon with its head stuck through a hole in the roof.
The Santa Cruz Animal Shelter said in a Facebook post that a local resident called the Wildlife Emergency Services number on Monday to report a raccoon had chewed a hole in their roof and became stuck while trying to climb through the opening.
"Knowing that time was critical, they instructed the citizen how to push the raccoon through the hole so it wouldn't suffocate," the post said.
The shelter said the raccoon turned out to be a mother and was reunited with her babies nearby.

Reminds me of our buddy's cat. A 'coon got up on the porch, and ate its food. As soon as the 'coon got its head through the gate where it couldn't turn around, the cat come up behind it pow! pow! pow! Beat the crap out of it. LOL.

My kitty is recuperating from neuter surgery yesterday, he was cryptorchid, it looks like they had to try more than one location, to go after the undescended one.......his belly is completely shaved and stained with Betadine, I can make out at least 2 separate incisions.......kind of hard to tell....looks like the vet may have made an attempt at an incision and, abandoned the idea.......as incompetent as that sounds.
He slept on the bed with us last night, he wanted to be near us, I left him sleeping on the couch and, he came into to the bedroom and, jumped on the bed, then curled up between us.....he doesn't normally do that.
He played a little today but, is still obviously kinda stiff/ sore, he's been sleeping most of the day and, hasn't eaten yet.....understandable, considering he had surgery 24 hours ago.........he has gone to the litter box, though........correction, I do think he ate a little dry food last night.
I opted for the post surgery pain meds, since they had to go into the abdomen for the one testicle but, he shows no signs of being in pain, he's been sleeping quite peacefully, he received IV pain meds during surgery, they may still be in effect.
I didn't mean to hijack this thread, he's not a raccoon but, he does have a striped tail!
