Because I would no longer live in Oz.
I would now be living in the US.
I certainly wouldnt chose to live in say Chicago...
I would probably live in some country town where I could
live in relative peace whilst I was taught how to use my weapon.
What would I shoot at....probably tin cans on a post until I learnt

I wouldnt go round shooting for the sake of shooting...
I wouldnt cross dress...
I wouldnt shoot little children...
But then again I havent got mental issues and I dont

In other words I have no solution to this issue...
Unless gun owners start carrying their firing pins around

Other than that.....
Sorry...Ive got nothing.....

I might get hit over the head with a hammer too Another school shooting...bad parenting or just bad kids. - Page 8 3790581089 but I agree with all you've said.

Taking guns away is not the solution but neither is more guns. That much I do believe.

I find it frightening that you can't even send your kids to school without knowing whether or not they will get shot up and never come home. That's terrifying.

Rather than either extreme maybe the parents of these nutters who shoot up schools should be held accountable if the kid uses their guns for these atrocities and definitely those who sell guns to these nutters without the proper checks should pay the price for their greed and stupidity.

Someone from the FBI said on Oz tv yesterday that the US didnt have a
gun problem..that they instead had an "evil person" problem...
Hhmmm...I see...
He also said that a solution could/should be having armed security
guards in ALL schools....
Hhmmm again....
Its this type of brilliant thinking which leaves me
totally gobsmacked.....

I firmly believe everyone here has the right to express their opinions. As long as its not abusive to other posters. And  @Sprintcyclist always stops short,  but makes many blanketed statements that demean everyone. And some folks get upset.

Then he gets pissed and pm S me about it . I like Sprint. I like different viewpoints. I like to debate them too! But it's a waste of my time to debate the uninformed!

I can't be judgemental here. If I tried to post on an Aussie forum( Another school shooting...bad parenting or just bad kids. - Page 8 773625082 ), about Aussie politics, I'd be ridiculed off the face of the earth! Lol.

Aussie and the Mongs would ban me!

I've made this whole speech before.

You are entirely welcomed to chat here  ...
Sort of the Aussie forum parent site. That aussie site is toxic

You may stay up all night.  And that's fine with me.
But you'll have to get up way earlier than me to fool me into loading that crap site  because I go there on occasion for a few years.
It's the most toxic  website out there, Today!
You keep going there! Enjoy yourself. I'm going to delete the link.

Thse things are terribe and i am not dismissing them...but this is not a gun issue. It is a mental health, absence of God issue. Not really absense....we allowed the left to throw him out of schools and the public square and then shut the door in his face. We are reaping the hellishness of that.

Don't let chicago make you think all america is like that.

I live in a little town...well, it was little before Californicators flooded in, doubling the size of it.

I have several guns.

I have never, EVER needed to carry or draw one. (Although this may change as we're getting more Californicated).

The only time I've taken my gun with me, was to go to the practice range.

The US is not Shitcago. It is not Gnu Yark.

There's a question of whether those places are even really American.

Barney Fife?

By 8,  I was terrorizing all the birds and squirrels with my Winchester, .22 caliber , crack barrel pellet gun. Complete with 4x scope.
The other neighbor boys envied me. They had Benjamin's they had to pump and that was noisy.

But I also had a single shot 410 I used on the weekends rabbit hunting. And a 20 gauge I'd use for ducks.

Like I posted elsewhere. We brought our guns to school everyday!
Guns don't kill.
Mentally ill people and kids on prescription drugs kill.

Even in New York City...as late as the 1960s, many high schools had competitive-shooting clubs.

Some had ranges - often in basements.

Students would bring their guns to school. Most students walked or took public transit to school. Consider that: Young teenagers, WALKING through a New York borough neighborhood, carrying a gun...into school; putting it in the armory locker, and going about his day.

There was no problem.

ONE of the problems we have now, is that the liars in mediuh keep on pushing memories down the rabbit hole, and casting an untrue Narrative...PROPAGANDA...so as to build support for their Utopian agenda - that of complete disarmament.

FWIW, the American mediuh liars were approving of Chancellor Hitler's first move once assuming office - banning personal firearms.

They don't learn, cannot learn, are genetically wed to their dream - of an all-powerful government, controlling us all. For our own good, dontcha know.

And once again social media sites like Twitter and Facebook have a hand in giving people a platform right before they commit atrocities.
Whatever the age is, voting, drinking, military service, and gun ownership should all come at once.  We are either adults or we're not.

And I do believe social media is being used to manipulate public opinions,  especially in young people with very little accountability.

Alcohol, the drinking age, is another issue - where young people are not taught to be adult about the matter at hand.

In Germany (at least in the past) the drinking age was 12. The DRIVING age was 21. That actually makes a bit more sense - maybe not workable in our world, but something to consider.

In German, and also Jewish cultures...drinking is not an adult thing. It's a family thing. Drinking is what is done on holidays - Christmas, New Year, family events. At least in Jewish cultures, over-indulging is a very-strong shame.

But there is nothing adult about drinking, or drinking too much. Children would have wine at family gatherings. Kids could order beer with Happy Meals at McDonalds, there. Getting plastered? That's like soiling your pants in public.

We could, and should, and probably must, try to re-frame the whole alcohol issue. And as with every other such issue, it cannot be done by government or in the schools. It has to be taught IN THE FAMILY.

More firearms in the hands of criminals won't solve the issue. More firearms in the hands of law abiding people WILL. Less coddling of criminals WILL. Less letting criminals off-scot free WILL. More retired ARMED law enforcement officers in the schools WILL. No violent video games WILL. No violent television shows WILL. No glamorizing violence, no allowing social media postings that promote violence and no media coverage of person(s) advocating, promoting and encouraging violence and murder WILL.

We have a violent, murderous society because we have allowed lawlessness and violence to be touted, glamorized, sensationalized, promoted, downplayed, explained away for political expediency by our so-called "leaders".
