We have read recently about Fair Work introducing Domestic Violence Leave...
We have an endless list of various types of leave in Oz including 18 weeks paid maternity
leave...etc etc etc....
Bearing in mind that every time someone is on leave, their job has to be done by someone
else...is it any wonder that the country is in such a mess...

At the risk of posting to myself....
I recall back in the day when someone went on leave they were
replaced by relief staff...
This was when we only had two types of leave...rec leave and sick
leave...
To-day, with all the demands and idiosyncrasies of various "types"
of employees, the boss is often inundated by numerous absences...
These absences place a huge burden on other staff...
We often read about police, teachers, nurses, train drivers,
paramedics...all complaining about working conditions...
These complaints always seem to lead to demands for higher
wages...
Of course, in many workplaces, the staff that are not absent
are conned into believing that they are all working as part
of a fabulous "team" therefore everyone is conned to pitch
in and take up the slack caused by staff absenteeism...
(aka normalization)...
And on top of this, the boss has to pay the compulsory
superannuation levy for everyone (which is ludicrous, as the
only person responsible for their retirement is the employee, not the boss..)
And businesses as a side topic, may have to pay up to 42 different
taxes to remain in business...
This conglomeration of taxes and leave entitlements is one of the
very reasons this country is in a mess...
It is unmanageable...
Bosses are taxed to the eyeballs...
Workers want to work less for more wages...
Menstrual leave.....

Why dont they all go home and cook some scones....
Wait a minit....mum and dad both have to work
to pay for that million dollar mortgage....
Gimme the 70s any day...

Apparently Coles are now going to be giving 10 days extra paid leave to certain employees for "gender affirmation." Can you see an upsurge of the insane and confused wanting 10 more paid days?
