Oh The Hypocrisy!

Considering that criminals have no common sense or "fear" of a) law b) law enforcement c) human life NOR the consequences of their actions.

AND

Criminals do not think things through nor buy legal weapons, possess concealed weapons permits nor even pay taxes on their illegal earnings, I doubt very much that criminals are "afraid"...
