It is a classic neo-colonialist endeavor. The CIA instigate a coup d'état in Ukraine. Then insert a pro-west puppet, arm them and declare that they go forth and terrorize the Russian speaking Ukrainians. Unfortunately for Ukraine, leaders of the Donbass region called on Russia to save them from the Azov paramilitary who were committing atrocities in the name of neo-colonialism.

Russia tried to negotiate with the west and Zelinsky to no avail. So, Russia began their 'special operation'. Putin's goal was to rid the region of neo-Nazis. They have done that, but the neo-colonialist that fund this conflict refuse to seek peace. As a consequence, the war will enter a new phase with a direct conflict between NATO and Russia.

The seeds are already being sown. Europeans are being propagandized into believing that 'if we let Russia win, Europe is next.

But the 'Why' question is simple... Lithium.
