Princeton Receives NASA Grant To Study How Humans Would React To Aliens
By Adam Andrzejewski for RealClearPolicy
Many of us have pondered how we would react to the discovery of extraterrestrial life. Leave it to NASA to spend taxpayer money on that question, though.
According to the New York Post, NASA awarded a grant to the Center for Theological Inquiry at Princeton University to hire 24 theologians to determine what impact the discovery of alien life would have on religious populations.
Dr. Rev. Andrew Davison, one of the theologians for this project, has worked at the Center since 2016 and wrote on his blog regarding his research:
“The most significant question there is probably whether one would respond theologically to the prospect of life elsewhere in terms of there having been many incarnations, or only the one theologians talk about in Jesus. I have also been thinking about the doctrine of creation, especially in terms of how it deals with themes of multiplicity and diversity.”

While the exact amount of funding for this project is unclear, we do know that NASA has funded similar projects in the past. In 2014, NASA gave the Center for Theological Inquiry $1.1 million to study worshippers’ interest in and openness to scientific inquiry in a study called the Societal Implications of Astrobiology.
Princeton University currently holds an endowment of $37.7 billion, and charges students a tuition of $57,690 per year.
Clearly, Princeton could have funded this research themselves. So why are they using taxpayer dollars?

To see how we would react or to assure we will react the way they want.
I suspect the latter.

As to the OP question, has none of these dolts ever heard of, War of the Worlds?"
As to why Princeton is using tax dollars instead of their own money... Is that a trick question?

Sorta weird this. This is not the first time this question of how society would react should they discover through nasa the existence of extraterrestrials. According to Gary Bates book Alien Encounters page 46, Nasa commissioned a report to detrmine the above.
Here is his quote from that. While the discovery of intelligent life in other parts of the universe is not likely in the immediate future (1960) , it could nevertheless , happen at any time. Discovery of intelligent beings on other planets cold lead to an all out effort by Earth to contact them (bad idea in my opinion says CJ), or it could send sweeping changes or even the downfall of civilization (what? in case the great reset from the scamdemic didn't do the trick? says CJ) ...societies sure of their place have disintegrated when confronted by a superior society.
NASA and Sagan knew damn well there were no aliens visiting the earth or that they had made contact with us in any way. Think FundRaiser. Whetting the public's appetite for what they believe are yet to be answered questions on our origin which made it easier to get the funding from congress.

Re: Princeton Receives NASA Grant To Study How Humans Would React To Aliens
Ever since what was it 1938 with Orson Welles radio broadcast on halloween night of the War of the Worlds the Media has seen and has taken advantage of how easily the public can be mislead, terrified into believing what they're told .....and we've been witnessing that since 2020 too, haven't we.
It seems the Scamdemic did a better job of where Climate change was failing. The next big Hoax?? Aliens from outer space?? The Space Brothers....come to tell us how we have misinterpreted that ancient text the Bible.....setting up UFOLOGY as the new world religion. Wouldn't the media love that.
