The issue here Tex is that the Gov set the rules. Lovem or hate them , they have to apply to everyone, Jokostrap filed a false declaration , and he's paying the price for it, he's an arrogant Serb/Russian wannabe . It tends to be standard practice that when you are deported there's a 3 year ban from reentry , Will be interesting to see if that is imposed on him
I agree. Laws have to be followed, especially if you are a foreign visitor. I just think this discrimination over vaccine status will ruin international sports and some interstate sports.

He's got some questions to answer in Spain as he went there while he was positive .
He also attended other public areas when positive.
I think England and the US will be hesitant to have him go there.

One can only hope that things settle down at some point and everyone can move on from this global debacle

............ The Serbian Prime Minister has said Novak Djokovic socialising while knowingly COVID-positive appears to be a "clear violation of the rules" adding that "no one is allowed to breach the isolation rules". ..........
......... Novak Djokovic has admitted to breaching Serbia’s COVID-19 protocols after the Serbian Prime Minister said: “the laws equally apply to all”.
The comments came after there was speculation that the world number one had been socialising at events in Belgrade while COVID positive.
On Wednesday Djokovic confirmed he had attended events in the Serbian capital after he knew he was COVID positive on Wednesday. ...........
.............. Despite the praise she said the government will maintain that rules must be followed adding that authorities are expected to investigate whether Djokovic breached the health orders.
“There are some standards that have to be met, in this case it seems to me that if he was aware of it (the positive COVID test) then it is a clear violation of the rules,” the Prime Minister said. ...............
..................... “What the sanctions are? That’s what the relevant institutions will have to look into.”
According to Serbian Law “whoever during an epidemic of a dangerous contagious disease fails to act pursuant to regulations, decisions or orders setting forth measures for its suppression or prevention” can be punished by a fine or imprisonment by three years, News.com.au reported.
The event where Djokovic appears to have breached the rules was an interview and photoshoot with French newspaper L’Equipe. ........

Re: Australia deport Novak
It's beyond ridiculous to think he posed a threat to Australians with Covid but he lied on his entry documents and if I tried doing that in another country and got caught I'd get kicked out too. As would we all.
He apparently broke the law in Serbia and in Spain before he came here and lied on his entry documents.
Stuff him and his arrogance but I sincerely hope all this insanity ends soon.

make him pay but let the elites skate.
aren't we holding ourselves and others to higher standards than we will hold our political elites who are imposing scamdemic rules on the rest of us.

I don't know anything about this tennis pro beyond what I've read here. What I don't like is the fact that he lied to gain entrance.
That was both stupid and offensive.
If anyone lied to garner access to me or mine, he'd not like the way it worked out for him.

Well who is controlling the narrative. What does the guy say. Whether he's vaxxed or not it doesn't make any difference If he was asymptomatic it is unlikely he could spread the virus. And who gave him the test and said it was positive even after we've learned the tests are inaccurate. Did anyone die?

Apparently a few of his sponsors want to have a chat with him.
They are unimpressed.
