Re: Minneapolis getting ready to go off again
This is where you form protection pacts with your neighbors. If a mob is attacking one house, all houses respond. If shooting starts, the mob will have no safe cover as they will be surrounded. Thats why I say get to know your neighbors. I look forward to buying remote land, but until then I'll work with my neighbors. I doubt you could organize enough people to take on a mob by hand. Look at the Korean shop owners in the LA Rodney King riots. Their rooftop show of force saved their businesses.2cent wrote:That's all well and good, @Crusader. Who is going to do that? Those same cops who will stand idly by while BLM, ANTIFA and other govt actors are burning down towns.. and then the governors "reluctantly" call in the Nat Guard who don't really do a whole hell of a lot, either? Those same cops who will come out full force and get all battle ready for Proud Boys rallies or anything deemed conservative and white? Those same cops who will direct the criminals right toward a peaceful protest so as to start chaos?
Who do you want to tell the mob to STFU and how do you propose we do it without getting run over by "law and order"?
Federal oppression is not the same as law and order. Local police need to do their jobs and when idiots want to encourage mob rule, looting, and chaos they should be shut down quickly. Local and state politicians need to understand this and do what they were elected for instead of inviting federal suppression of our rights and liberties.
Yes, we know the obvious answer. Which leads us to the next question: What do we, the people, DO about it?
If you are talking about getting the neighbors together and attacking the mob, count me out. If you want to start a neighborhood watch and warning system so that you can respond in mass with self defense when the mob comes to your neighborhood, I'd consider it. We are a 70 foot fence and a gate away from being a gated community. We already talk to each other through the Nextdoor app to notify everybody of any crime or suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood. We frequently drive by suspicious vehicles and take their photo as we drive by. They know they are being watched and leave if they are up to no good. Several of us walk the neighborhood for exercise and we are armed. A few FRS radios and we would be set if SHTF. Get to know your neighbors. It helps.
In these cities and towns where there is chaos, and the cops are not doing their jobs, how do you expect citizens whose properties are getting looted and burned to react? Just stand idly by, and hope your insurance will cover it?
Or, go as a group, and put a stop to it?

Not exactly wanting to squabble, but what happened to, "If you are talking about getting the neighbors together and attacking the mob, count me out."Crusader wrote:This is where you form protection pacts with your neighbors. We have neighbors and friends who have businesses in town. If outsiders came around tering up their places, and the cops did nothing, WE WOULD. We'd pull out some tear-ass Corky on 'em, that would put an end to that nonsense.

Based on how poorly the prosecution has done so far I can't see Chauvin being convicted. If that happens we're going to witness the Woodstock of rioting. People from all over will descend and decimate what is left of the place.

I meant to wait for the mob to come to you and not pile into cars to find the mob. I'm a big fan of self DEFENSE.

Donating to violent , race based organizations should be illegal.

End of article: After several hours of sustained violence, police officially acknowledged the riot and began employing crowd control measures including tear gas and flash bangs to disperse the throngs of rioters.
