Are you saying that every time the cops shoot a suspect that mob rule is justified?  What about due process and trying any cop who violates someone's rights in a court of law?  Aren't you skipping steps?

I edited my post while you were posted to see if you were referring to a violent response by private citizens against the mob. I wasn't sure what you meant.

Arkansas is much the same as Texas.  Any law enforcement officer who tried to say you could stand your ground wouldn't have a leg to stand on.  The law is clear

No, 5 Dallas police officers were shot and killed while protecting a blm march by a blm nutcase with Army training on July 7, 2016. Dallas police cornered him and blew him up with a robot when he refused to come out peacefully.

Exactly.  But I'm unsure about that "limited time" critique.  I'd swap that up for "as long as necessary."

I'm all for self defense during mob situations. What is the saying? Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6. What does the law in Minneapolis say about concealed carry, castle doctrine, and stand your ground? We have all 3 and don't have those kind of problems here. We had a guy in Houston having problems with drive by shootings. He waited behind a tree in his front yard with his AR and opened up on them when they tried it the next night. He killed all 3 of them as I remember it and was no billed. It helped that the guy defending his home was black, but a justified shooting none the less. Google Joe Horn. He was no billed also and the 911 call is priceless.

Hamartia, This is the second time we've misunderstood each other. I think a lot of you came from another forum and know each other. It'll take me a while to sort you all out so I can better understand your intentions, but we'll get there.

If you are talking about getting the neighbors together and attacking the mob, count me out. If you want to start a neighborhood watch and warning system so that you can respond in mass with self defense when the mob comes to your neighborhood, I'd consider it. We are a 70 foot fence and a gate away from being a gated community. We already talk to each other through the Nextdoor app to notify everybody of any crime or suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood. We frequently drive by suspicious vehicles and take their photo as we drive by. They know they are being watched and leave if they are up to no good. Several of us walk the neighborhood for exercise and we are armed. A few FRS radios and we would be set if SHTF. Get to know your neighbors. It helps.

That's all well and good, @Crusader.  My closest neighbor is a mile - or better - away, but nearly beside the point.

In these cities and towns where there is chaos, and the cops are not doing their jobs, how do you expect citizens whose properties are getting looted and burned to react?  Just stand idly by, and hope your insurance will cover it?

Or, go as a group, and put a stop to it?
