I honestly thought it was an April fool's joke when I woke up. Pretty rare for these parts, even though it was in Redneck country.

Its just a baby, I have experienced a shallow 4.5 and a 5.5 , when you are on the second level of a multi level building it gets your attention real fast lol

I didn't know there were any faults near you. Never really researched, but of course, I don't think Louisiana when I hear Earthquake.

Of course, I don't think Ohio, either, but we had an impressive shaker in 1985...on a fault that hadn't moved in 200 years. Fifteen miles from a new nuclear plant that had just gone online.

We survived the 7.1 monster (Loma Prieta) in 1989.  Now that was a memorable day/weeks.  Not much damage to me personally, but there were scores of dead folks sandwiched between the upper and lower deck of the Bay Bridge.  Also, I missed the ball game.
