but what is so very telling are the actions of the 'guard' inside...does nothing, just watches and then someone in a suit, has the silhouette of a black man, comes over and shuts the door as she is lying on the sidewalk.

THESE two should be charged along with the perp as soon as they catch him.

There are some pretty horrible people in the world today but even worse are those who just watch and stand back usually with their phones poised for video.

No-one should just rush in and risk their own lives but there is a lot more people can do to help others without risking their own lives.

Glad Elliot got nailed.  Lived in a 'hotel turned homeless shelter.'  A Sheraton, no less.  Nice digs.  Then beats up a woman in front of "Hell's Kitchen."

I'm glad, too, that the scum bags who stood by and did nothing but allow evil to prevail - even worse, closed the door on that poor, hurt woman! - at least got suspended from their jobs.

I have worked with a few Chinese over the years, and found them to be hard working and affable if somewhat a little excitable from time to time, They cant drive to save themselves, One that I worked with a few years back , we still go out for yum cha periodically,
