Cat Becomes Totally Obsessed With His ‘Dog Person’ Dad

It may have something to do with the medication I had to give her twice a day, for 20 days, ointment in her eye and, Prednisone pills,  I just got 2 doses down her throat,  then she started trying to bite me,  so I had to crush the pills,  dissolve them in water and,  use a syringe.

They remember alright, When my X wants to do something to her dog she knows it doesn't like , she always gets me to do the dirty work. when the dog sees me with a firearm even if its in a case it freaks out , maybe it senses that its days could be numbered lol

I had to get one of these for my cat (who started out as my son's cat).  He doesn't like fingers Lol. Open their mouth and plunge it in. It works.

That half-cougar my mother took in...chose, he was a kitten from a friend's barn cat...I was nine. Of all of us, he chose me. Probably because I was unattainable - I (age 9) wasn't in the house much to watch tevee or hang around with cats.

It was my parents, or my older brother...a boob-toob addict (wish I had the money he now makes, in writing software). Or my four-year-old younger brother.

But he just decided he liked me.

Did us well, later...including a couple of months when I was age 16 and home alone (old man in France on a job; my mother joined him for two months; older brother moved out, younger was being housed with a friend's family). It was the giant tabby, the diminutive tuxedo black, and me. The tuxedo female took comfort from the half-cougar. HE drew his life's purpose from being able to still sleep on my feet.

But there's no accounting for cat tastes. Or dog tastes, for that matter. My mother, decades later, took in a retired racing greyhound. Same thing...we figured the (female) greyhound's initial handler was a man. Although my mother was the hound's constant companion, it just took to men. Me; delivery men; didn't matter. Must have been some pleasant memories, triggered by scent.

A half cougar ?

I rescued an ex race horse once who hated men because he'd been abused by men. He'd be ok if I went and caught him and then a man rode him but he wouldn't let a man get close to him when he was out in the field. Only me.

  I go with Sarah on her doggy outings periodically, old habits and a little exercise.  we came across some Asian chic with a fluffy little dog , It came over and I gave it a good rub down ,and when she reached us she said, she doesn't like men, Now every time I see her she is all chatty, The Doris thinks she might be my next stint lol

Yeah....it's always moms that have to do the dirty/hard stuff when it comes to babies... And then the kids resent it ;o)

An enormous male. He was fat, from being gelded and being an inside creature; but he was also long...tall..heavy. Surely over 20 pounds.

His mother was an apparently-normal barn cat...yeah, there were some semi-working farms about when I was a kid. We were on the outskirts of suburban development in Cleveland. But my mother knew the family that owned that barn, and had to get rid of a litter of kittens...humanely. So since my mother's previous cat had run off, we got one.
