Is the Earth round or flat?

I dont know or care whether the earth is round or flat or something else altogether. But I do know it is a sure fire way to entrap all manner of 'academics' into wasting their time and sending them off the planet if you say the earth is flat. The alleged scientists of 'round earth' will try and 'no platform' anyone vaguely suggesting the earth is flat.
I can see this as an avenue of attack against these sorts of fraudsters and an opportunity to expose them for the BS peddlers of self interest that they are.

The flat earth movement is actually increasing, I do believe that everyone should help them in whatever way is possible. In this case we can say that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, after all have you heard of a flat earther terrorist attack lately?

Yeah we can say the revival of the flat earth movement is an internet thing, but it is drawing in the people who would be otherwise serving the same beliefs as us. An example of what they can offer can be found below (albeit in a religious point of view)

Looking at those who are on an anti-flat earth mission we see the same people who are anti-God who use the same tactics of antifa such as 'no platforming' and 'if you oppose us you must be mentally ill' which leads me to believe that these sorts of people are one and the same.
Now we are being told of the joys of neurodiversity, regardless of how crazy or perverted you are, it is equal to what we may traditionally call 'normal behaviour'.

I was doing googling on flat earth and the like and in doing so encountered texts regarding the "proof of no God". I had a quick look through their "proof" and one of the atheist arguments concerns cosmology, which involves planets, big bang, etc.
If for arguments sake there was a compelling case of sorts for a flat earth would this destroy any argument for atheism?

Again one has to ask if the anti flat earth and anti God movements are one and the same?

i have a friend, not close, who believes this. I like her and she's intelligent but she is wrong wrong wrong on this.

THere are flat earth clubs who are clearly doing it for fun..and then there are some, not many, who actually believe it and/or just doing it to subvert the word of God.
Our children, raised in the church cannot refute this because 1. science has failed them and 2. the church has failed them. Church better step up because i doubt the gov't run schools will.
