Re: STUDY: Ivermectin linked to “large reductions” in covid deaths
Throw a bunch of money at a problem, and when it doesn't work, it's because they didn't throw enough money at it, so throw a bunch more money at it. The problem is obvious: They can't possibly throw enough money at any "problem" to actually solve it. Never will. And loyalty is fleeting -- they know this.

I am a Ph.D. microbiologist/immunologist with 30+ years studying and teaching infectious disease. I am not a conspiracy purveyor...but I can't understand why there is such a concerted effort on the part of youtube and facebook, etc. to suppress a treatment that needs to be tested. It needs to be, discussed, explored and tested and allowed as off-label use for compassionate reasons - and because it's potential to be helpful far outweighs any potential harm. It is ridiculous for public platforms like this to disallow the posting of potentially helpful information.

None of them would open for me either or got a 403 or 404 error...

I'm very open to using Ivermectin, as both a prophylaxis, and maybe also as a cure. However, the mixed news out of Brazil - and a few other countries - left me a bit confused as to its efficacy.Red Lily wrote:
And what if all the feed store has is ointment form? You don't ingest ointment, do you?
*I take it there's directions on the bottle for how much to take according to weight?

Re: STUDY: Ivermectin linked to “large reductions” in covid deaths
Thanks. I've read some of it; not all. I wonder how they're going to react at the feed store tomorrow when I ask for some. And yes, if they ask, I do know to say it's for my horses. No need getting those good folks in trouble.Red Lily wrote:I don't know for sure 2. I think @Casey Jones has posted info on it though.

Ivermectin is readily available if people wish to medicate themselves with it, I'm sure the active ingredient is used in human medication, in one form or another ?, I would think its just a brand name ?

I don't think Ivermectin is ever sold as a topical ointment.
What you can get, easily enough, is an oral equine paste. Feed it to the horse...or to yourself or your kids.
If it were harmful, I'd have been dead six months ago. Logically, it is not. In practical experience, preppers, anti-mRNA stalwarts, and others here in the States have been using it, with some guidelines (not medical advice - the FDA tells us that it is HARMFUL to humans!). So, DYODD.
In the charts available online, about 1.05 gram is a weekly dose for a 200-pound hominid. I break that down into two half-gram doses. Easy to do with the horse-applicator - it has a measuring tool on the plunger, a ring with stops, and notches. I use three notches, Tuesday evening and Saturday morning.
Six months and I'm not sick. Not proof; but it is proof that it won't kill you.
