The Pharisees had no power to put someone to death...the romans did. The pharisees pushed for it. Pilate wanted no part but he washed his hands of it and gave it. Yes. It was THe pharisees and those that hated Christ. But the people loved Jesus and were horrified at the events leading up to it and the execution.

Remember though..that this was Jesus' purpose. He could have stopped it at any moment but he didn't.

i realy wish youd do your research CJ. roman law: crown of thorns-death sentance.
40 lashes-death sentance.
crucifixation-death sentance.
roman law: you cant be executed three times.
roman law: stuck on cross without thorns or lashing. AND no spear in liver! ever.

Many people including Big Tech. want to silence and censor God's word because His word is not political, not consistent with the "woke" ideology and not Marxist/Communist supporting. Even when Jesus walked the Earth, there were attempts to silence and censor Him. The powers that be tried to put words in His mouth, lie about Him and eventually crucify Him. He wasn't silenced then and He won't be now. In fact, the more they attempt to stop Him, the more powerful He becomes.

Once, and a few other close calls , I had to be pumped back up after a brain hemorrhage, Then there was a nasty case of atrial fibrillation, then the amiodarone induced thyrotoxicosis, followed by a near call with a sever anaphylaxis after some disgruntled bees had a go at me, A ruptured appendix , ouch !

the jews certainly did execute by that way. all three. at the same time. had Cesar the power to do so, just one death sentance wouldve been carried out........not four.........you forgot that the jews broke the legs on friday night. didnt you? now do some research. i have a very important question for you to determine if youve studied methods of execution through the dawn of time. and as far as i can tell, every one i know about was fair game for the romans to enact. empalement, wooden horse, drowning, hanging, darts, you name it. so take awhile, read up on it. my question will be able to determine if you know what you speak of.

Sure the jews could kill people...they stoned Stepen. but Jesus was a special case. He was very popular with the people and if a revolt, allegedly one started by Jesus broke out then the romans would blame the jewish authorities. This was a matter of them keeping their power and keeping rome at bay so they wouldn't impose more restrictions that would affect the corrupt jewish elite. THe jews wanted jesus dead. Having Pilate do it would protect thmselves.

I didn't say the jewish ELITES weren't responsible for Jesus' death. I said they were. Jesus was very popular with the common people. The pharisees used Rome/Pilate and Pilate did not stand up to them. Even Pilate's wife warned Pilate to leave this man Jesus alone.

Jesus' legs were not broken. That was prophesy and reality.

Pharisees used stoning.

Who is responsible for Jesus' death.

The Jews plotted and brought up him up on charges
The people shouted kill him and said let it be on our childrens' heads.
The Romans actually tortured, mocked, ridiculed, beat and put him to death.
God sent him for that purpose
and WE are the ones whose sin made it all necessary.
