FBI investigating attempted assassination of Trump in Florida

Sept 15 (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was safe after what the FBI said appeared to be an assassination attempt on Sunday outside Trump's golf course in Palm Beach, Florida.
"The FBI has responded to West Palm Beach Florida and is investigating what appears to be an attempted assassination of former President Trump," the agency said in a statement.
There were shots fired outside the course, law enforcement sources said. Trump's campaign had earlier said he was safe following gunshots in his vicinity but gave no details.

Law enforcement officials said during an afternoon press conference that the gunman was in some bushes near the property line of the golf course when Secret Service agents, who were clearing holes ahead of where Trump was playing, spotted a rifle barrel in the bushes.

Well, that had to be a little bit disconcerting.

Agents engaged the gunman and fired at least four rounds of ammunition around 1:30 p.m. (1730 GMT). The gunman then dropped his rifle, two backpacks and other items and fled in a black Nissan car. A witness, the sheriff said, saw the gunman and managed to take photos of his car and license plate.

And they're reporting that it was the LE officers who did exactly the right thing? Mmm. Mokay.

All in all, thank God that Trump is safe. In the end, all was taken care of in a quick, safe response.

No, it is not.

I've said REPEATEDLY, the US has undergone a Color Revolution. The Deep State and an unannounced foreign power, probably the CCP, has seized the Stupid Party. And the Stupids are marching behind them in lockstep.

This dweeb...a "retired" roofer, age 58, who looks to be 70-year-old alcoholic (incredibly-accelerated aging) is one such. After ending his roofing gig - he was a contractor - he became a for-pay recruiter for the Ukrainian army. He was trying to bring Pakistan and Afghani refugees in to volunteer for Ukraine. Given what Vlod the Clod did with foreign volunteers in the first month - push them out on the front lines and hold them prisoners - his efforts didnt' appear to come to much.

No doubt he blames Trump for his failure there, for the complaints he had as a roofer, for his premature white hair and alcoholic problems.

This is NOT America anymore. And lest you, or I, hope it goes back to what it was...we have 40 million aliens invading us to make sure it does not.

I'm sorry. Trump will not get into the WH again. This is his second warning; the third time it will be successful, and probably out of a military or paramilitary operation.

The elections hasn't even happened yet, and already there were two assassination attempts on a candidate, and God knows how many more are to come. What does this say about our country and it's political atmosphere? I used to think we were better than this, but I guess I was wrong.

Whatever your feelings are on Trump, you must realize it's dangerous, reckless, foolish and ignorant to promote or attempt assassination of any politician. Unfortunately, Trump's supporters are now going to be even more convinced he's the right man for the job, thereby putting an even bigger target on his back, especially if he happens to win. If he gets in and something happens to him, how will those supporters live with that on their conscience?

I have this gut feeling that something very ugly is going to happen no matter who gets "elected". If someone could do this to Trump, they could just as easily do this to Harris. For the safety of both of them, I'm wondering if we should put the election season on hold until the public calms down. Getting rid of the agitators in the corporate media who peddle nonstop fear and hatred would go a long way towards that.
