you think thats bad? Eads who built all the river gunboats wasnt given a cent either untill he took his claim to congress. i think the fed stiffed him for 8 armoured gun platforms. he also had to finance the entire caboot.Daily Bread wrote:His contract was he would be paid $5 for each tent made . The Army produced 44,000 and he never got a penny after he went with Lee to fight for the Confederacy .jirqoadai wrote:dont stop there. the Sibley tent was in production double time because Sibley was now denied his royalty per tent, as he now fought for the CSA. from the day of his enlistment into the CSA till the day he died, he never recieved another penny for the tent he held patend to.
That's a pretty good buck for the time - he should have sued .

On this day in 1973 , I watched my neighbor and my younger brother kill a chicken roosting in a tree for high school biology class.
Wasn't the nabors chicken either.
Then, they peed on an electric fence. Lol.
Cops came to school the next day . Brother says he never squealed.
I believed him .
He did da shooting, though.
I was so proud of him at his formative age of 9 years old.
