Colorado Gov. Jared Polis dismissed anger over Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua taking over apartment buildings in the Denver suburb of Aurora, calling it “imagination” — despite video footage, police reports and the city’s mayor confirming it’s happening.

Polis’ press office offered the snarky statement Wednesday night in response to Aurora City Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky — who told The Post the gang’s takeovers are tied to his policies.

“The Governor has already let the Mayor know that the State is ready to support the local police department with assistance from state troopers and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation if needed,” Shelby Wieman, a spokesperson for the Democratic governor, told The Post.

“But, according to police intelligence this purported invasion is largely a feature of Danielle Jurinsky’s imagination.”

Another factor is the...for lack of a better term...the INNOCENCE that so many lifetime Western residents have.

Denver, when I discovered it, was a big small town. In the best sense of the word. When I moved there, six years later, the Crips and Bloods had already made inroads. You see, the first of the Californication-invasion, was the Left Coast professional class. Lawyers, physicians. Railroad executives - the Southern Pacific was purchased by the Denver & Rio Grande Western, whose corporate HQ was in Denver. The new combined system took on the Southern Pacific name, but top management was DRGW. Middle management was moved from San Francisco to Denver, as well as dispatching and other vital functions and systems.

Sun Microsystems, Oracle, and others, opened branch R&D campuses in the Front Range area. So there was a lot of money flowing in.

The Crips and Bloods were there to sell drugs to these expats' kids.

I saw...the Denver cops just weren't EQUIPPED to handle the new problems. Not with training, strength or equipment. If bums had set up in 1994 camping on LaSalle St. in Chicago, those bums would be Cook County inmates, with head injuries. DENVER had CHARITIES, giving these derelicts BOX LUNCHES as they slept, drunk, in doorways. They took over the Platte River greenway park.

Denver was controlled by airheads all full of peace, love, and dope dreams. JUST THE PLACE for MS-13 and similar gangs to come in and take over.

I find a lot of the same naivete here in Missoula County...they WELCOME the 'groid invasion, rush to HIRE them. No, they're not noble, for their skin color - what they are, mostly, is stupid; and stupid people find it harder to control impulses. Violence and crime.

I don't know where this ends up. Quite possibly it's the end of America, although the complete takedown may take 20 years. Probably the dollar collapses first; but these moronic invaders will mean America can never be rebuilt.

I don't know how much of this I should believe. This guy sounds and acts like a schitt-grin wannabee.

But maybe it's a thing. Really...for years, I've said (some of you, also) that something was gonna push us past the breaking point. Who was that going to be? The local Jay Cee's? The Boy Scouts?

It will be REAL interesting to see if the modern Hell's Angels have the spine that the Canadian truckers didn't have. If they can withstand Cancelling, having their bank accounts locked up.

The guy here looks like a bozo, but he's right about one thing: The Hell's Angels learned about business. Initially it was the business of vice - girls and drugs. Later, they found ways to pay their lawyers.

Their leaders are hard and they understand money - a good mix for this current War on Woke.
