That is one way to get rid of plastic and old tires. Bring onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn the weinies and marshmallows. They might have a bit of carbon flavoring.

I would venture the recycling yard started it to get rid of the tires and plastic(s). What else are they going to do with it. No one wants it. The metal has now been stripped of all the useless waste and can be recycled. Much better when cars were made of metal, with minimal plastic. Weighed more, but far easier to repair.
I find it interesting for the push towards LED lights. Incandescent are recyclable, glass and metal. LED, mostly plastic and fiberglass circuit board with unrecyclable components.

your last two sentences @JMWinPR I find it interesting that push toward LED, especially when they are so expensive and don't put out enough light in certain instances. Don't mind them for little specialty lights. and they are not long lasting either.

And where are most of the LED lights made? COMMUNIST CHINA! And where is crooked Joe making millions of dollars from? COMMUNIST CHINA! Who makes the batteries for those "electric cars" that crooked Joe pushes? COMMUNIST CHINA! Where are they using children for slave labor to mine the components for those electric car batteries? COMMUNIST CHINA!

As I've said in numerous posts previously, I buy American products if at all possible. Unfortunately, many products that are made in America are not available. I always buy American products if possible even if they cost more. I would buy only American products but, most stores do not carry many American products. So, in answer to your question, I buy only American products if available.

As do I. It is almost impossible not to buy China products.RV wrote:hurricanehook wrote:Was wondering how many products you have, RV, made in China?RV wrote:Calypso Jones wrote:your last two sentences @JMWinPR I find it interesting that push toward LED, especially when they are so expensive and don't put out enough light in certain instances. In some cases I have done without because I could not find an American product that was carried in stores. I have asked numerous stores if they carry American goods. A store that only carries cheap Chinese goods, (and there are many), won't get any business from me. On occasion, I find that searching for an American product on the Internet yields results, other times it doesn't.
I buy as little Chinese goods as I possibly can. I find that Chinese good are generally cheaper not just in price but, in quality as well.
