Yeah, the FDA has a horrible track record. We saw with the WuFlu nonsense that their bloviating, warnings, mandates and "medical expertise" were questionable at best.

bromine is far more effective per dollar at cleaning water than chlorine ever can be.

Brominated in this sense is fizzed up 'certain types' of vegetable oil which keeps the citrus based drinks from separating.

this article is a freakin' lie. They haven't voluntarily cut out the BVO. And they didn't stop by 2020 either.

I've never heard of BVO, but whatever it is, it couldn't be as bad as HFCS (high-fructose corn syrup). That stuff is probably the worst ingredient in sodas and other types of food.
