Julian Assange Finally Free

Julian Assanage is a free man and will arrive home in Australia later tonight after a 14-year legal saga.

A US Federal Court judge signed off on the historic plea deal on Wednesday, clearing the way for the former fugitive to fly home to Sydney.

“With this pronouncement, it appears that you will be able to walk out of this courtroom a free man,” the judge said after Assange pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy to obtain and disseminate national defense information.

About time too.

That's great and all, but unfortunately for him, he's gonna need personal security up the wazoo, probably for the rest of his life. You know his foes are not going to give up on him that easily.

Oh, don't you know that. Nothin' like the wrath of a bureaucrat who pretty well got caught with his pants down.

I don't think he'll have guns a blazing after him but I guess we'll see. He's been locked up for 15 years.

Remember that Julian recently hasnt exactly been hands on with wikileaks but those that have may not wish to be in a lesser position.
Im glad hes out, but lets see what happens.

It wasn't my intent to infer any such thing. I meant it more as a looking over his shoulder quite a bit.
