Stellantis, the mega car-maker that came of Fiat looting what was left of Chrysler, and then selling itself out to Peugeot...while the Fiat-Chrysler head, Sergio Maricon, or whatever his name was...died on an Italian operating table, dying of government healthcare...that left the new mega-corporation that Sergio built (to enrich himself with stock options) without a CEO. They dug deep and found this Portugese clown, Carlos Tavares, to run things. RIGHT INTO THE MUD.

Sales in the USA have fallen 40 percent. Stellantis' stock has fallen 25 percent, in a month.

There's several reasons why the sales are falling, but one big one is NO ONE CAN AFFORD $100k TRUCKS. Or $60k automobiles.

And since those prices are not exclusive to Stellantis products, with similar hikes over at every other brand...other car makers are also losing sales but not as dramatic. But nobody sane is gonna pay $100k for a truck or car made by Belgian company, run by a former Renault test-driver.

They wouldn't be having these problems, though, and wouldn't be talking of cutting 50 percent of their US employees, if things were so wonderful.
