Two years in the Arizona foster care system

Two years ago, my step great granddaughter was raped at 14.  Although no one knew this was going on, jazz wanted the assaults to stop so she reported it to the school resource officer.  Jazz and all her brothers and sisters were taken an put into the system.  They were allowed no contact with the family.  At the time Iazz was doing well in school.  She wanted to go to cosmetology school and was saving money now to pay for it.

While in the system Jazz was repeatedly raped, given to sex traffickers who chained her to a bed.  She once ran away and sought refuge in a hospital.  She ran away again and went to the police who brought her back to the group home.  One of the staff brought in his trained dog who mauled Jazz so badly she ended up in the hospital.  Two years.  Jazz is 16 and looks 10.   She hasn't been to school since the state took her away.  She weighs 83 pounds She has the mental capacity of an 8 year old.  She is a drug addict.  She attacked a staff member.   Now she is a prisoner awaiting sentencing.

The National Center For Missing and Exploited Children is helping and brought many of these cases to the Arizona senate.  Jazz isn't the only one.

Jazz's siblings?   After 2 years of no family contact,  they are swearing they were  beaten and raped at McDonald's.  They are available for adoption, except for the little brain damaged boy.  The system has him for life.

CJ no one knows what to say.   This is not the first time Arizona Child Safety Department has been in trouble for this.  They have a history of trafficking children.  The particular home that Jazz went to is being closed down but that just one of many.   The state senate is now investigating mostly due to the actions of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.    

Jazz is now held by the correctional department waiting to be sentenced for her attack on the home staff.  Poor child.  All of them.  The other four children have been permanently taken.  The stories they told reminded me of the McMartin case.

Think of the thousands of other children whose lives they are destroying.

We are certainly trying to get some of these staff and supervisory personnel in prison. But they shuffle them around from place to place. Here's hoping that the senators can do something.

When you hear about the democrats losing 85,000 children, you know where they went.

I shudder to think.
