Indonesian woman killed after being swallowed whole by 20-foot python

A missing woman in Indonesia has been found deceased in the most disturbing of circumstances.

The 45-year-old mother of four was found dead inside the belly of a 20-foot reticulated python after her husband reported her missing when she failed to return home after walking through woodlands to sell food at a market in central Indonesia’s Sulawesi province.

You have to wonder what this woman was doing to let herself be killed in such a fashion. There's only been a small handful of similar incidents, so it's not like it's a regular thing. I'd imagine she would have been completely immobile to allow the snake to put her in its mouth. Was she already dead before the snake got to her?

dont take offence, youre a city slicker arent you? a snake will only ever eat something that is dead if you force feed it. most of the time, while its eating its meal, if you disturb it, itll regurgitate the meal and then leave it alone. im a bit leery that a 20' snake could eat a 95 pound 4'4" woman. maybe recheck facts for us please? seems like salties arent the only ones, if youve read about others. ( remember the boxing day earthquake? how many caught in the tide got chomped up good then swallowed while still kicking and screaming ? )
