Vanilla Flavoring....40% gone

Madagascar is where 80% of vanilla is produced.  next run will be on vanilla flavoring.    They say the reason is theft and 'weather challenges'.

2 years ago, costco was selling a 16oz bottle of vanilla for 25.00....up from 7.99 the year before.   Lots of people wouldn't buy at that price. Last bottle i bought last yearat costco was @9.00 a bottle..pure vanilla.

I did the same thing . Costco was the only one that had it at a halfway decent price . But I'm not sure its a quality Vanilla like McCormick

My mom had her traditional candy that she made every thanksgiving/christmas holiday. They're known as Jets, Martha Washington Candy, and our family name...Super Dave's candy...after my brother who I continue to make this candy for every year. Always have to use Quality Vanilla...just a little even though i may be flavoring it with peppermint..only Shank's pepperment, or maple, or coconut, or whatever. I make about 3 flavors not counting the original vanilla. Quality vanilla and only, ONLY Domino confectioners sugar.
