To demoralize and divide us. There are some eager lickspittles who happily repeat these untruths, sometimes to get a reaction - so they can bask in their own glow, knowing how much "better" they are are than "those people."

We're about to learn, the hard way, if an educated, independent people can resist a long campaign of psychological warfare.

I simply ignore anything that comes out of the mainstream media, be it news, entertainment or whatever else.

Like Casey above mentioned, they are trying to gaslight and demoralize people. Keep in mind that the media knows they are lying, but they are going to try and fool people anyway.

They also get paid to do it. "Journalism" is another one of those professions that dishonest people get into because they can't cut it in a real line of work.
