And another, JFTR: that last of your re: Swift was downright sickening. I may not be a fan of hers - I have NO IDEA of her music, nor her view on politics outside of the OP article - but your kind of ripping someone apart - that you know so little about, no less- floored me, to say the least.

I dislike popular culture fads without any true value - that's most of them - and I REALLY dislike being manipulated, whether by Madison Avenue or by the boys in the five-sided funny farm in Washington.

And I find those who willingly participate - even if coerced; without any adult resistance - those are beneath any contempt.

I DETEST having this trash and trash music shoved under my nose, and for nefarious purposes? I have nothing constructive to say about it.

She came to Nashville at 16 with her own music...he heard her and signed her to his label.  That was 18 years ago. AT the time she was grateful...i don't know how she feels now.   I think her emotional and psychological probably also intellectual growth has been stunted by her early success.  Just my opinion anyway.    THt's the impression she gives me.

Fame...maybe it can;t all be put on hollywood..Fame does it.  it can ruin and mostly does.

She has a new album out apparently? didn't check the date...here's what one mother wrote about that and i think incrementalism. Thirty four is a far cry from 16.
