Dump cake

In a 10x13" pan.
1 can of cherry pie filling
1 20 oz can of crushed pineapple
Sprinkle on 1 box of yellow cake mix
Melt and pour 2 sticks of butter all over cake mix.
Cover with foil.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

So easy that even I can do it. Great with ice cream.

is that your own personal recipe? is it moist like you must serve it out of the baking dish with a spoon or is it solid enough to cut and serve on a plate?

It's not my recipe, but it's one of the few that I remember. It comes out like a cobbler and you scoop it out with a spoon. Very moist, even if the cake is a little crumbly on top. A few crushed pecans on top might be a good touch.

It will be named Crusader's Cherry Dump Cake in my recipe box.   That will result in some mind movies. "This must be a cake the Crusaders ate while they fought for the Holy Land.'
