I think it was P.T. Barnum who said, "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the publc."

Barnum was the guy who, in his circus freakshow tent, had big signs: THIS WAY TO THE EGRESS! all over.

Everyone wanted to see what the Egress was. They'd go through the great big door...and find themselves out of the circus perimeter. Have to pay to get back in.

Egress, for those who don't know, is "exit."
