'I'm a plus size flyer' - here's how to get two seats without paying
A plus-size traveller has revealed a simple hack for getting a second seat on an airplane completely free of charge – and it works 'almost every time'.
Kirsty Leanne, 29, from Shropshire, regularly shares travel tips for larger-bodied people and has built up a following of 110,000 people on TikTok.
As a frequent flyer, Kirsty - who is size 26 - says it is uncomfortable if she is seated next to another person – for both them and her.
In the clip, she said: 'How as a plus size person I get an empty seat next to me on almost every flight I take.
'One of the most daunting things about flying as a plus-size person is how much space you're going to have.
'A while back I was on a flight that had a few empty rows and mine was full. I pulled a FA to the side and asked if it was possible to move and she said yes, which made so much difference,' she says.
'I started asking more and more and eventually I learnt the best time to ask is when you board.
'The FAs can help you directly and if there are any seats left over, they'll ensure you're able to move into them (as lots of people like to move without asking - which I don't recommend).'
She adds that many airlines make it hard to buy two seats together, leaving plus-size passengers with few options.

Newsflash! LOSE SOME WEIGHT!
If she wasn't gloating and so proud about getting a free seat all the time, or encouraging other fatties to do the same, I wouldn't mind. People like her should be charged by weight like baggage is.

I think it's great she gets to screw the airline. Good for her. There are a number of airline employees
Who know the score and accommodate passengers on the sly. On a trip to Europe one young american man upgraded our four tickets to first class on his own. What a difference!! And wow was it a treat.
Airlines have all the power. Good when a passenger gets a break. And don't forget their nazi like behavior over the scamdemic.

I've been upgraded many times so I have no problem with that and it's often the luck of the draw but it's like she's encouraging people to be obese just to get a spare seat.
I'd say there are better ways to get an upgrade rather than promoting morbid obesity.

Wait until her health problems catch up.
Knee, hip, spine issues, and diabetes.
And...guess what...no man, ever.
What a damn-fool.

She is gross! And it near makes me puke to look at how cute she thinks she is.
Which brings up how much "FAT" is being promoted these days as, if not a good thing, at least a perfectly acceptable thing.
EVERYthing is "acceptable" today. There is no such thing as "wrong."
Either we turn it around, which I don't know how to do, or we're done.

Here's another. It's catching on.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11986761/JACI-STEPHEN-Plus-sized-plane-travelers-spill-space-shouldnt-given-free-extra-seats.html
Whilst the author's being a bit dramatic I agree that if you take up 2 seats YOU pay for those 2 seats. No-one else should have to pay raised fares to accommodate your bulk. The passenger complains of pain and bruising at having to try to squeeze into a seat. How about thinking of the person next to you?
Another 'influencer'
Jaelynn Chaney - latest contender for Victim Of The Week and self-styled ‘plus-size travel, fashion and lifestyle’ creator – is demanding that the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) must do more to ‘protect’ morbidly obese passengers and even offer them free extra seats.
‘Air travel should be comfortable and accessible for everyone,’ she wrote in an online petition.
But what Jaelynn fails to realize is that everything doesn’t revolve around her.
Indeed, where’s my protection from being suffocated next to someone who spills out the confines of their own seat?

This blatant attempt by so-called 'influencer' Jaelynn to change a world that doesn’t run according to her own egotistical standards came just hours before country singer Jessie James Decker took to Instagram to abuse her sizable sway as a celebrity and lambast United Airlines.
Jessie echoed her brother-in-law’s claims that her pregnant and therefore 'high risk' sister, Sydney Rae Bass, had been forced to get on her 'hands and knees' during a United flight and clean up the popcorn her bratty children had chucked in the aisle. Imagine that! Having to clean up after yourself and your kids.
This is out of control.
No one honestly thinks overweight passengers should be given special privileges that extend to extra freebies. And the same goes for not expecting airline attendants to put up with whatever mess a Z-lister’s pregnant sister throws their way.
The problem is, most people are afraid to say so. But I’m leading the backlash.
You can buy your own extra seats – and pick up your popcorn from the floor while you’re at it.

As was said, it's not so much that these 'people' are getting something for nothing from an airline - but it will chap my backside to learn that you & I are paying for it - it's their whole selfish attitude about it. They're thinking of no one but themselves, and obviously believe it takes a stroke of genius, to see that there are spare seats on a plane. And then brag on it.Red Lily wrote:This blatant attempt by so-called 'influencer' Jaelynn to change a world that doesn’t run according to her own egotistical standards came just hours before country singer Jessie James Decker took to Instagram to abuse her sizable sway as a celebrity and lambast United Airlines.

its quite safe for me to say with my experiance, I AM THE MOST TOLERANT PERSON ON PLANET EARTH when it applies to my relationships with obese people. ALL fat people need to be shamed so much they either finish the job and eat 8 bottles of valium, or go on a severe diet. if not, theyll live a life of catfishing others because there is no downside.
