If a good match for a job does not feel safe being themelves and performing at their highest potential at a given location or their family could be denied critical health care due to the laws in that state I am compelled to consider a different candidate who is perhaps less qualified.

1.  Is this woman a general just because she's female or because of merit?

2.  How many gay people are in the military?

3.  Are there states that deny medical care to gays?

I just googled #3 and it overtook my shock at her wokeness.

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Friday signed into law legislation allowing doctors to refuse to treat someone because of religious or moral objections, a move opponents have said will give providers broad powers to turn away LGBTQ patients and others.

The measure says health care workers and institutions have the right to not participate in non-emergency treatments that violate their conscience.

Then there's South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and Illinois which all have similar laws.

Whilst I am strongly against gay/trans/queer/woke activism not all gays are in your face activists wanting to enforce themselves on children.  How can any medical 'professional' claim religious or moral superiority whilst refusing medical care on someone because they are gay?

Unless it's refusal to perform trans surgery (which I can well understand) this is the epitome of immorality and extremely unchristian imo.

You don't become a veterinarian and say "I'm only going to help poodles and cute animals."  You become a veterinarian because you have empathy and want to help all animals.
I think you misunderstand.  From your PBS link:
Opponents have said types of health care that could be cut off include maintaining hormone treatments for transgender patients needing in-patient care for an infection, or grief counseling for a same-sex couple. They’ve also said it could also be used to refuse to fill prescriptions for birth control, or by physicians assistants to override patient directives on end of life care.
That is an utter load of nonsense.  What the bill does, is protect doctors from having to do hormonal replacement therapy, when that is not their purview.  They would, however, be more than happy to provide care that requires treatment, and/or a script for, say, antibiotics, stitches for cuts, casts for broken bones, or prescribe medicine for high blood pressure, if that's their area of medicine.

They just don't want to be forced to provide medical care that is not their area of medical practice.  The people making noise of this are making a mountain out of a molehill, and need to get a grip.

You want hormonal replacement therapy?  Fine.  Go to a doctor who's equipped in that field. But, if what you need is a bone set, a script for an infection, any manner of medical treatment, then fine; I'll treat you. Just don't ask for HRT, when that's not my field of expertise.
