Get a professional lawnmower set at its lowest, and that's what it looks like. At least on normal turf.

The low settings are for golf courses - tees. Greens mowers are special, but some clubs mow tee areas almost as close.

The gardener, or whoever went in with a mower, just set the mower low enough to cut off all the green, leaving only the yellow stems.

Yes, that grass will die. They'll be a month growing it back, if they seed it today.

isn't it ironic for lack of a better term how they got what they may have wanted from the beginning...and it took a lot of death to get them there.  just sayin'.

I wondered the same thing.  Phillip does NOT = King.  Camilla = Queen.
