Bonne Viande!

Pauvre Faucon.  Il a trop bien mangé ce(a) soir.
Poor Hawk. He ate too good tonight!

He cooked up 2 large filet mignon from Omaha Steaks. They didn't come bacon wrapped but I fixed that malade(illness/lol).
One was medium rare. The other medium well.

I used Omaha steak seasoning. I patted the steaks dry and caked that seasoning on there , covered them , and let them rest about 2 hours. To me they could have used more seasoning. But honestly, it was perfect to let the flavor of the meat dominate.

I was going to grill them but my asshole neighbor was piddling around out by my deck. So i just pan seared them.

Tonnerre et e'clair!  Mais c'est si bon,  ouais!

It's amazing I'm not sleepy. I've been up since 3:50am when the storms came through.

They are the boneless "eye" of a t-bone .

It's called Filet Mignon here too, well when it's wrapped in bacon. Otherwise here we just call it 'eye fillet' (from the T-bone).

It can either come sliced or you can buy the whole eye fillet, which is what I thought you meant. I thought you ate 2 whole eye fillets and were pondering cooking 2 more Lol.

I haven't bought eye fillet for a long time. It's too expensive here right now.

Too expensive for me too! Lol. I gave my parents one of those $140 steak packages for Xmas. They gave me one of those boxes for my bday.

Prolly been 10 years since I ate one. They were very good though.
They ain't drawin no interest just sittin there.
