More fighter jets for Ukraine? Yea or nay?

Zelensky has asked for more jets ... to help push back Russia's invasion

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky spent much of the past week touring European capitals, appealing to leaders to send his country fighter jets.

At the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, Ukraine was believed to have around 120 combat capable aircraft - mainly consisting of aging Soviet-era MiG-29s and Su-27s. But officials say they need up to 200 jets to match Moscow's air-power - which is thought to be five or six times greater than Kyiv's.

If the Zelenski bunch are already familiar with the aricraft, Russian MiG-29s and Su-27s, why don't they just ask Russia for more of them?

From where I sit, none of this makes sense, and you're not helping. Do jews like to stick people into spots where poor decisions are the only choices?

If everybody is flying MIGs and Sus, might they end up shooting themselves down?

to date, the only weapon system that has delivered the desired results for ukraine is Raytheons Excaliber. russia however has the edge there too as it can only be brought to the front lines in a Paladin and then counterbattery fire destroys everything in and near the 155mm sp arty vehicle. the most pressing problem the west has is all reserve systems have been issued. nobody wishes to reduce their own front line capability just so ukraine stays in the fight.
