Romney has no business pretending he is a Republican.  Pence has no business pretending he is some sort of dudly-do-right saint.  Both are traitors to the USA.....  maybe not in the "need a firing squad" sense, but they are liars to the bone.

Can I still vote for the firing squad?

George Romney was a DEMOCRAT. He was in the Johnson Administration, IIRC. That after being Governor of Michigan.

He actually was in politics longer than he was in automobile-manufacturing management. He was only with AMC from 1954, the time of its creation, to 1961. And before that, he was with Nash-Kelvinator, one of the predecessors of AMC...as "Assistant to the President" who was George Mason.

That's right. He was a lackey, a batman, a gofer. He came to Mason's team from Alcoa, where he was a PR flak and gofer.

So Romney, lightweight that he is, learned it from Daddy. Daddy was lucky in that for a few years while he was heading it, Rambler was selling well. So was Studebaker, in those years; and neither of those brands kept the success up.

George Romney was just overly blessed with luck. Willard follows, frankly, to this day.

Did you see the video's of Romney's relatives in Mexico?  (I think one a brother, but not sure.  I'm thinking it was uncles and cousins.)  At any rate, it came out around the time Mitt was running for Prezzy, stating that Mitt's name is mud in their homes.  They'll have nothing to do with him; finding him to be one of the most untrustworthy men on the planet.

As for George Romney, he was a REPUBLICAN.  He lost to Nixon in his bid for the Prezzy in 1968, but Nixon chose George Romney to head HUD.  I somehow doubt he served in LBJ's admin.

Maybe you confuse him as a Democrat due to this?

Here's a dissertation of sorts written by Chris Bachelder, who believes that George Romney lost his nomination for two reasons, but disagrees that the first one - the public thought he was cuckoo for saying he was brainwashed during the Vietnam War - was the bottom line reason.  He contends that it was due to Romney's refusal to endorse AZ Senator Barry Goldwater's nomination for president in 1964.

DOES Romney have relatives in Mexico? The family was down there as Mormon missionaries. That's a big thing for Mormons - all young people, and all Mormons who never did it before, are expected to take at least a year, go where the Catholic Church is strong, and proselytize. I guess Joey Smith or Brigham Young wanted to throw some of that old-time Christian religion back in their own faces.

Yeah, Romney is a RINO, opposed President Trump, opposes the American people and is a closet Marxist/Democrat. He will NEVER get my vote EVER.

I have NO clue what Utah voters were thinking. Mittens wasn't a Utah resident; wasn't a conservative in any description of the word. What he was was a CARPETBAGGER.

All he shared was a PROFESSED adherence to the LDS church. I say Professed, because Mormons tend to be far more conservative and put a greater value on the strength of their word and honor. Mittens is none of that.

But since they voted him in...I don't expect any great changes of mind.
