President Trump Readmitted to Facebook ...

... But With “Guardrails”?

On Wednesday, Meta announced that President Donald Trump will be allowed back on Instagram and Facebook after a 2-year-long ban. However, there will be “new guardrails” in place so the social media companies can maintain some control over Trump’s posts.

How absurd. I would absolutely refuse and post as I see fit -- either that, or would not post.

He may not go back, I wouldn't, but FB was a huge source of fundraising revenue for him which he'll need leading up to 2024, so who knows. It's always all about the money.

He almost can't go back. I wouldn't go back unless there's a real good reason. Not only would I not go back, I would well publicize that I didn't.

I've never belonged to FB. You're setting yourself up to get knocked down by negative publicity on FB. I know what I'm talking about. You become sort of an extortable commodity for their publicity pleasure. Well, Trump seems to thrive on that kind of publicity, so there is that ...

I avoid the Internet as much as possible. There are far too many keyboard warriors who are patently stupid and "woke". If I need to go to the bank, I do so rather than use the Internet and allow criminals to steal. I don't have a "smart phone" for the same reason. I am basically "old school" and plan to stay that way.

I wouldn't give Facebook the revenue or the traffic. Believe me...He raises money. There are plenty of people that want him back.
