Donkeys are cool.

I like donkeys.

when i had horses a neighbor down the road tried to ditch his onto me for food and water. i didnt mind too much about the grass and water they consumed, but they will drink a horse trough dry in two days. my two horses alone would drink it in five days. so IF you do try donkeys, theyll prolly consume alot more water, alot more grass, and the only thing i wouldnt do for them is part ways with my timothy hay for them. they stayed seperate from my horses, on their own, which was fine. i doubt they were wormed. they wernt near as tame as my horses were. my under year old son would crawl around my horses legs, and then stand up by grabbing hold of a front leg.

Donkeys are popular among cattle ranchers here. They keep the coyotes at bay and can/will kill them.

if theyd keep their teeth as clean as Tennessee Walkers do, theyd be alot more pleasant to be around.
