Time Traveller?

My son, not a believer, for some reason read the old laws in the Bible and is convinced they were written by a time traveler. I pointed him to Genesis. He staunchly maintains that there is no way the people of the time could know the development of the planet. Scientifically, the steps are correct. He is convinced we have been visited by time travelers since the beginnings of civilization.
